Linux Trouble（MCP・LPIC対策）

Linspireが無料で配布を開始したFreespire2をインストールしてみました。シンプル過ぎるインストール方法でした。パッケージの選択や詳細なパーティション設定などができず、物足りなさを感じましたが、一般ユーザにとっては使いやすいLinuxなのではないでしょうか。インストール自体も10分で終わってしまいました。

1．Freespire2のメディアをCDドライブに入れて、PCを起動する




2．起動プロセス中




3．ようこそ画面
インストールは約10分ほどで終了する、と書いてある。




4．キーボードのレイアウトを選択



ロケールの選択画面はない。

5．インストールタイプの選択




6．Take over an entire hard disk
「Click here for more information」をクリックするとメッセージウィンドウが表示される。



「This method overwrites and installs Freespire on an entire hard drive, wiping out All exiting files on that drive. This method provides the best performance and easiest installation for Freespire. IMPORTANT! THIS OPTION WILL DELETE ALL EXISTING FILES ON THE HARD DRIVE!(If your computer has multiple hard drives, you will be asked in the next step to specify which drive to install Freespire on.)」

7．Advanced Install
「Click here for more information」をクリックするとメッセージウィンドウが表示される。



「This method is for Advanced users and allows you to overwrite and install Freespire on a specific drive or pre-configured partition, optionally choose to preserve the Master Boot Record, and specify your file system. IMPORTANT! THIS OPTION WILL DELET ALL EXISTING FILES ON THE DRIVE OR PARTITION SELECTED!」

8．Advanced Install
今回はAdvanced Installを選択。



「This advanced method provides options to install Freespire on a specific drive or pre-configured partition, preserve the Master Boot Record, and/or specify the file system.
If you need to add or modify a partition, you must do this BEFORE proceeding. You may use the disk partitioning software of your choice or Freespire's partitioning feature by rebooting now and selecting the 3rd option from the CD's boot menu.
To specify a different file system other than Reiser 3, right-click on the row of the desired partition/drive and under the 'File-system' column.
